Requirements

MEMBERS AND PLEDGES

   MUST:

  • Be an Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems Major
  • Have completed two years of collegiate courses
  • Have completed or currently be enrolled in one advanced course in respective major
  • Have a GPA of 3.0 or better in respective major (3.5 for Graduate students)
  • Have an overall GPA of 3.0 or meet one of the other acceptable qualifications listed in the International Bylaws (3.5 for Graduate students)

   MUST ATTEND/COMPLETE (AT A MINIMUM)

Active Member Pledge
Attend five (5) professional meetings - can be Non-BAP Four (4) professional meetings -  2 can be Non-BAP
Attend one (1) social activity - initiation will qualify One (1) social activity prior to initiation
Networking Night -- Fall

College of Business Career Fair -- Spring

Six (6) service hours (minimum 1 hour in tutor lab) Six (6) service hours (minimum 1 hour in tutor lab)
Pay of  Chapter Dues Pay International and Chapter Dues
Attendance at final business meeting and Initiation (Mandatory)

   MUST PAY DUES WHEN REMITTING DATA SHEETS:  

  • $55.00 National Dues (one time fee for pledges)
  • $20.00 Chapter Dues (per semester - members and pledges)

** Business Casual required for meetings.**

Sophomore Associate

   MUST:

  • Have a major of Pre-business, Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems
  • Have completed 30 credit hours

   MUST ATTEND (AT A MINIMUM):

  • Two (2) professional meetings
  • One (1) social activity

   MUST PAY:

  • $10.00 Associate Dues (per semester)

Accounting, finance and information systems majors who do not meet the requirements, but wish to participate in Beta Alpha Psi activities, are welcome to attend meetings as guests (as are all other students).
